Most nights are a challenge. I think it's because by the end of the day I am SO tired that getting all three of these beautiful children bathed, dressed, and in bed seems so hard. Regardless, bedtime is one of my favorite times of day. I LOVE reading to my kids. Which we do EVERY night before bed. We started this ritual around Ella's first birthday and she has held us to it. If we happen to come home late and she's already asleep, it's normal for her to wake up half-way through the night to come and remind me that we forgot to read.
The toughest part seems to get them to shower. They love the shower once they're in, but getting there involves a battle. So, on this night, I lured them with special jack-o-lantern chocolate pops from Lagomarcino's. They showered without complaint!

These are VERY special chocolate treats sent by Great-Grandma Helen. In 1908, Angelo Lagomarcino opened Lagomarcino's Confectionery in Moline, Illinois. Currently a fourth generation is working the business. I would guess that they are celebrating a 100th anniversary this year!
A perfect afternoon would be a date with Grandma in the Village. We would all have Hot Fudge Sundaes. We miss you!
