market day
Today,
each first grader
set up their own store front
for market day!
Ella (and her Dad)
have been
testing, mixing, boiling,
creating and packaging
SLIME
for this special day.
First customers = BOYS
buying a cold glass of lemonade
a visit to Megan's "cool" nail salon
I had to put this picture in.
Love this guy.
He was in Ella's class last year.
We had a little friendly family
debate going on how long
this slime would stay in the bag.
Long enough to use it as a
marketing strategy.
If you bought one of Logan's pencils
he allowed you to touch the slime!
The slime was a complete success!
SOLD OUT!
her own Cons
We bought Ella her first pair
of Converse last summer
when we were visiting Colorado.
Aunt Audrey called them her "Cons"
and the name has stuck.
Gran came to visit last weekend
and she brought Converse for all the kiddos.
I'm starting to think I might need a pair of MY own Cons!
Sunday, April 11
it doesn't get any better
Returning home on Easter evening
you'd think all would be exhausted
but some still had energy
unfortunately, I did not!
So when I popped into the girl's room
and found this
it made me
SO happy!
Easter Afternoon
Easter afternoon brought another egg hunt
in Mo & Grandad's backyard
with our cousins Mimi & Gwen!
A great Arizona day!
Easter Morning
Easter morning
Only one person was awake
(really, two, Charlie and the photographer ~ Charles).
I'm not sure who was more excited!
Our Easter bunny brought rocket launching supplies
and Nerf guns!
He sure knows our family!
He sure knows our family!
Ella's favorite thing ~ confetti eggs!
One week later, I am still cleaning up confetti!
Sophie's favorite thing ~ her own chocolate bunny!
Charlie's favorite thing ~ playing Nerf guns with the girls!
Heading outside for an egg hunt!
Sorting out the loot!
Off to Mo & Grandad's for an Easter party!

food art
on Thursday's Sophie and I attend a class
put on by the city
each week is a different theme
this week: food art
we started with a bird's nest...
an egg for Ella, for Charlie, and for Sophie
when I ask her to smile, this is what we get
someone needs a haircut, and mom needs to clean off her camera lens
melted chocolate drizzled on coconut
formed into a ball
center is formed
three eggs added
voila ~ birds nest
and one very chocolatey toddler

next project ~ potted flowers
made with pudding, crushed cookies, chocolate bars
and gummy worms!

it doesn't get any better than this
messy, fun, tasty art
not at my house!
another smile!
a masterpiece
and we're off to the park to play!
