The Easter bunny brought Batman PJs for Charlie, with full cape capabilities.

He is so proud

to show off

his flying abilities.

After each jump he asks, "Mom, did you get that one?" And we look at the camera to see if we achieved flight in the snapshot.

Oh Charlie, please please, just stick to the step stool!?!

When Kylie came to visit we spent an afternoon at the Desert Botanical Gardens.

We started with the butterflies.

This was a very challenging outing with the kids. They were done when we started. And the gardens were extremely busy that day. I put this picture in because they look so peaceful. It was pretty much downhill from there. In their defense, they were on the brink of a terrible cold. I felt awful that I took them...but I wouldn't have learned how badly I want to go back...

The Chihuly exhibit is absolutely stunning. It's here in Phoenix through the end of May.

My goal is to see it again. At night. With wine. Without children.

tea party for two plus one lucky insect

It's springtime in Arizona and the grasshoppers are everywhere!

One lucky guy was invited to a tea party in our backyard!

Our good friends, the Smith family, were here visiting from Colorado. Luckily, Danika was just as excited as Ella to share tea with a member of the insect family.

They look so serious?!?

Sidenote: Kylie made the matching outfits for all the girls. (Sophie & Tuli too!) Aren't they great!

second best to Christmas

Spring baseball opened today in Estrella.

The second best day next to Christmas, or so I'm told by Mr. Kamarata, our EYS Director. He was so excited this morning, he looked like a little boy. His enthusiasm was infectious!

Charlie is a Sidewinder this season.

And VERY excited to play baseball!!

Easter Sunday

The day started off with a visit from the bunny...

we were so pleased that he liked the treats we left out

(Ella left a note, explaining that we were out of carrots but had left lettuce and celery instead!)

in the afternoon, we were off to Mo and Gran-dad's

for another egg hunt

this time with real eggs

then off to make Deviled Eggs for dinner ~ delish!
