This is a little bit random...but...while traveling home to Arizona, Charles and I ran into an old co-worker (from our Time Warner Telecom days), Bob Goodrich. Bob told us that another person we used to know, Matt Locke, had left Denver and started his own home decorating business in LA. He is now one of two designers left on Design Star on HGTV. The season finale airs this Sunday, August 3rd at 9/8C. The winner gets their own design show. I'm not an HGTV watcher, but I think I'll tune in to see Matt!

Weird story: When we were in New York, I popped into Duane Reade Drug Store to have the photos on my camera, transferred onto disc. While waiting at the counter... part of the cast from Design Star walked up to pick up their film. They were very excited, and charismatic... The pictures were of a wrap party the previous night. I can't say for sure that Matt was there. It was pretty chaotic... But, I did vote for your buddy.... wish he would have won. I liked his rooms better....
He didn't win :-( But it was so great to see him, he seemed just the same as I remember..."That's Awesome!" Honestly, I liked both contestants. I hope it generated some good publicity for him and his business! I wonder if he'd come visit and give me some tips for my house!
