Our sting rays are snowbirds!

Another lazy Sunday at the Phoenix Zoo...

This trip we walked the "Arizona Trail" and learned about some of our local animals.
Prairie Dogs, Coyotes and the Collared Peccary (Javelina), to name a few.

We explored the Reptile house (also on the Arizona Trail).

(Can you see it? ~ not the frog, her lips!)

After lunch, we hung out at Sting Ray Bay. Our sting rays are snow birds; they stay here in Phoenix from November thru April. They spend the rest of the year in Denver and then in Chicago. (I think this sounds great, do you think I could become a sting ray groupie that travels with the exhibit?)

Sophie liked to observe, but did not want her hands in the water!

We finished off with a tour on the Safari Train and a ride on the carousel.
