This is our Pilgrim. On her way to board the Mayflower.
In order to better identify with the Pilgrims and the difficult choices they had to make, Mrs. B asked the kids to fill a shoebox with important things to take with them on a long journey to a far away place.
Ella's important things required a shoebox of Daddy's shoe size proportions.
Pictured: Bunny (he's been on many journeys, can't go on one without him), her cell phone (to keep in touch while on this long journey), her toothbrush (that's my girl!), band-aids (always ready for a crisis), money (Daddy's girl), and pen and paper (for all the lists she needs to make, or maybe she'll publish a book about her travels).
Ella's box was reportedly the second to largest box brought to class. Another classmate had a shoebox that was twice as wide! I need to have a chat with that classmate. Because if I were on a trip of Mayflower magnitude I would absolutely need satellite internet and my laptop. It just may fit in that box.
