Today was the LAST day of swimming lessons for the summer.
Ella successfully completed Level 2. Next year she will move up to Level 3 and she has her eye on the diving team. Last year she liked swimming lessons (after a very hard first week), this year she LOVED lessons. No matter how tired we were, when I mentioned lessons, she pulled on her suit and goggles and she was ready to go. Her energy and enthusiasm has made it so much fun. And it's possible that after the first 2 weeks, it rubbed off on her little brother...
Charlie re-joined his Level 1 class for the second session. The teacher from infant-parent class (one of our faves) Emily, moved over to teach his class, and he had a great time. One of the lifeguards built the platform in the picture, it enables the kids to stand and hold onto the rails without having to hang onto the wall. That, among many things, seemed to make Charlie much more comfortable this time around. Most days we'd look over and see Charlie dancing with the other kids to the water aerobic music - and I'm sure I spotted the lifeguard assigned to their class strumming his air guitar a few times.
Sophie loved lessons this summer. Another little fish!
