cleaning closets

This weekend we cleaned closets and went through our storage room. For me, this meant sorting through endless bins of clothes. Which I save for important reasons. I have some for each child to grow into, but mostly it's clothes I can't part with, not yet, and as you will see - for GOOD reason!

This dress was crocheted by my Grandma Betty. She sent it to me when Sophie was born. She included a note that said the dress was meant to be a 12 month size, but she thought it seemed so small, we should wear it right away. Which we did...she is just over one month old in the picture.

The dress still fits!

Next, the shoes, or mukluks. Kylie brought these back from Alaska for Ella five years ago. Ella wore them LOTS.

It's time for Sophie to wear them, they're the best, so warm and soft. Doesn't quite go with our Arizona heat, but we have air conditioning, right?!? Besides, they are so darn cute, we have to wear them!

Next up, Sophie's shrug, her Mo knit for her last spring.

Sophie loved when I put it on her, it's SO soft. I think it will fit for at least another week!

So many treasures! This is why I have bins and bins and why I NEED a storage room!

Sophie and Ella are such cuties! I LOVE the crocheted dress! I've been trying to crochet a scarf for months in preparation for the New York winter...that dress gives me inspiration!
